This Time You Can Call It A Comeback

Desdamona is a hip-hop and spoken word artist from right here in Minneapolis, Minnesota and she's a force to be reckoned with. Between 2000 and 2006 she won the Minnesota Music Award for 'Best Spoken Word Artist' five times. FIVE.

Despite working in profoundly male-dominated artform, she has stood on her own in the hip-hop scene, and is considered to be the best female spoken word and hip-hop artist in the Midwest.

A poet and a true artist we were thrilled when Desdamona allowed Frenchy, Beth and the Minneapolis College of Art and Design to produce the music video for her latest single, “The Comeback," in 2011.

MCAD's Pre-College Summer Sessions program gave high schools students the opportunity to work with real professionals to learn the ins and outs of filmmaking. This remarkable summer program was the first place the three producers of Moving Walkway Productions began to work together.
